The 11th Meeting of the 4th Session of CMBA Executive Board was Held in Beijing

The 11th of the 4th session of CMBA executive board meeting was held
in Beijing, on December 18th 2013. CMBA
summarized the work of the year 2013 and made
plan for work of the year 2014. General
secretary WU Zhaohui reported this year's work
and next years' plan. The main achievements of
2013 are:
CMBA Gene Therapy Committee was founded.
Evaluation of CMBA committees meeting was held
in May in order to summarize the evaluation work
and learned the experience.
CMBA held series of events this year, such as
the 6th China Medicinal Biotech Forum, the 2nd
Shenzhen International Biotech Innovation Forum
and Exhibition, and the 2013 China (Shandong)
International Biological Medicine Industry Expo.
CMBA committees had also held events. CMBA began
to construct web working system this year. CMBA
looked for good technological programs overseas
and do project docking. CMBA made biological
medicine industrial plan for the city of
Tengzhou, Shandong province.
CMBA served for government this year: Assisting
government to carry out reviewing exit and entry
of medical materials each month. CMBA redrafted
The Management of Stem Cell Clinical Research
and Implementing Regulations of Stem Cell
Clinical Research for government. CMBA carried
out series of lectures about dietary fiber in
communities and gave free dietary fiber products
to elder peoples. CMBA co-founded China
Alliance of CSOs for Vaccine Immunization,
co-held the 5th"Sound and Responsibility" the
meeting of deputies of NPC and committee members
of National Committee in bio medicine industry.
CMBA gave feedback of Discharge Standards of
Water Pollutants for Pharmaceutical Industry
Fermentation Products Category to environmental
bureau. CMBA organized expert meeting and
carried out survey to give idea to the case of
acquiring company. CMBA carried out report
regarding bio similar drug.
In the aspect of industrial self-discipline,
CMBA organized experts implementing renewing
their standard certification. One enterprise
acquired cell media standard certification of
CMBA. CMBA is preparing the initialization of
tissue specimen bank standard.
In the aspect of international cooperation, CMBA
signed MoU with Korean Biomedicine Industry
Association and accepted the visit of foreign
organizations, like BIO and Washington state
delegation team. 84 experts from CMBA committee
of Tissue Specimen Bank participated 2013 ISBER
meeting in Sydney. General secretary WU Zhaohui
participated Taiwan biotech exchange meeting.
The next year, CMBA will go on serving members,
enterprises and governments, promoting the
prosperity of Chinese medicinal biotech industry
and bridging its connection with the world.
